Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Academy Award®-winning film, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring returns to the big screen in a spectacular live concert experience, coming to Melbourne and Sydney in September/October 2026.
The concert will feature the officially-licensed production of Howard Shore’s original score performed live by symphony orchestra, chorus & soloists, with combined forces of over 200 musicians and choristers taking the stage.
Howard Shore’s Academy Award®-winning score brings J.R.R. Tolkien’s world vividly to life, transforming Peter Jackson’s film into a powerful symphonic experience. Performed live to the picture, the music takes centre stage, creating a thrilling and immersive way to experience the story.

The music of The Lord of the Rings is counted among film music’s most complex and comprehensive works. This unique performance sets the score to the film, allowing the music to bear the narrative weight, creating a wholly new and dramatic live concert experience.
This unique ‘In Concert’ experience will once again transport audiences to the world of Middle-earth, joining Frodo, Samwise, Merry and Pippin on one of the greatest fantasy adventures ever told. A spectacular fusion of film and live music, this is an event not to be missed.
