PIP Theatre is inviting families into the Hundred Acre Wood with a charming new musical that brings Winnie the Pooh and his friends to life on stage. BeXD’s Winnie the Pooh: The Musical is a lively, heartwarming show based on the beloved stories by A.A. Milne and runs from 2 – 11 July 2025.
Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood! When Owl insists he doesn’t want a birthday party, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Tigger and Christopher Robin brave flooding rains, a missing tail, bouncing chaos, and a Heffalump hunt. They prove that friendship and celebrating the little moments are what makes life extra sweet. And some honey of course!
Winnie the Pooh: The Musical is adapted by Katie and Will Toft from BeXD, drawing on A.A. Milne’s classic books, Winnie-the-Pooh and Now We Are Six.
As much as possible, they have kept the beautiful language from the original text and adapted this into the narrator’s script, dialogue and songs. The show is supported by warm underscoring and fun, catchy and heartfelt songs. Three of the 14 songs are old classics that they have adapted for the show.
The musical features original music by Katie and Will Toft and classic tunes by legendary composers like Louis Prima and Irving Berlin. The show is packed with laughter, songs, and the kind of gentle adventure that little ones adore! It is perfect for children of all ages and grown-ups who are still kids at heart.
Winnie The Pooh: The Musical was originally written for a BeXD Create Holiday Workshop. With a focus on friendship, acceptance, and appreciating the simple things in life, this show was truly beloved by its cast and audience during the premiere production in January 2024.
Performed by the PIP Theatre Children’s Ensemble, it promises a magical musical adventure these July school holidays!

“I think when you really boil this play and the Winnie The Pooh story down, it’s ultimately all about curiosity and care. So I hope audiences regardless of age will be able to open themselves up to curiosity, tap into their inner child and understand the power of caring for those you love. Also lots of cool flips!”
Families are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy free arts and crafts activities in the foyer. Pre-show fun starts one hour before the performance. Kids can make their own creative crafts inspired by the characters they’re about to see on stage! There will be colouring sheets, character mask-making, and even crazy Winnie the Pooh-inspired hairstyles. All themed around the world of the Hundred Acre Wood.
These activities are included in the ticket price and are perfect for kids aged 2–10, with grown-ups welcome to join in too!
