Michelle Brasier and Tim Omaji will be joining Samantha Jade and Ben Hall in the cast of the upcoming Broadway and West End smash hit musical PRETTY WOMAN: The Musical, which makes its debut at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane in October before debuting at Theatre Royal Sydney from November.
Based on the iconic film, Michelle will play the role of Vivian’s wise-cracking friend Kit de Luca. Tim will join the company in the dual role of Happy Man / Mr Thompson.
They will be joined by Douglas Hansell as Philip Stuckey. Ensemble cast members include: Artemis Alfonzetti, Caitlin Spears, Callum Warrender, Chiara Assetta, Clay Hill, Daniel Erbacher, Fabian Andrés, Glenn Hill, Jordan Angelides, Jordan Tomljenovic, Lauren Jimmieson, Lucy Fraser, Matt Douglass, Matthew Prime, Phoebe Coupe, Rebecca Gulinello, Romina Villafranca, Sasha-Lee Saunders and William Motunuu.
Michelle Brasier is a standout voice in Australian storytelling and a favourite of the global comedy scene. Her one-woman comedy-as-philosophy shows, accompanied by Tim Lancaster, continue to sell out seasons across Melbourne, Sydney, London, New York, LA and Edinburgh year after year.
Screen acting credits include Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (ABC), Aunty Donna’s Big Old House Of Fun (Netflix), Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe (ABC, Netflix), Koala Man (Disney), YOLO (HBO Max), Thank God You’re Here (Ten), Get Krack!n, Drunk History Australia, and How to Stay Married.
Michelle also stars as Lindy in Ghosts Australia (Network 10, Paramount, BBC Aus) and is well known for her frequent collaborations with sketch comedy group Aunty Donna.
Michelle’s memoir My Brother’s Ashes Are In A Sandwich Bag was named one of Apple’s Best Books of 2024 and topped Audible’s list of the year’s best memoirs. It earned a nomination for the 2025 Russell Award for Humour Writing and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award.
Tim Omaji is a Nigerian-born Australian actor, singer-songwriter and dancer who gained international attention after releasing a string of multi-platinum selling songs such as Set it Off as a Sony Music artist under the stage name ‘Timomatic’.
Tim’s transition from singer to actor showcased his remarkable versatility and acting talent. Initially known for his success in the music industry, Tim has earned acclaim for his powerful portrayals in major theatrical productions.
These include his role of Ike Turner in TINA: The Tina Turner Musical at Theatre Royal Sydney, Toulouse-Lautrec in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, and Benny in Rent.
Other roles include the lead role of Tyrone Jackson in Fame The Musical, Sam Onatou in the Australian tour of MADIBA The Musical – A Celebration of the Life of Nelson Mandela, and Monty in the Australia tour of Saturday Night Fever. He also played the standout role of Benny in the critically acclaimed and sold out 2018 season of Hayes Theatre Co’s production of In The Heights.
Beyond the stage, Tim has continued to make his mark on screen. He has appeared alongside Jane Seymour and Jacqueline McKenzie in Amazing People Pictures’ feature film, Ruby’s Choice. He stars in the Netflix/NBCU TV Series, Clickbait and NBC’s TV series La Brea.
Leading the cast of PRETTY WOMAN: The Musical is Samantha Jade. A household name in Australia for many years, she won Channel 7’s X Factor in 2012. Samantha has amassed a collective 91 million streams and 2.3 million sales worldwide and released a single with Pitbull, Shake That. Her 2015 album NINE hit #2 on the ARIA charts.
Samantha has been a regular fixture on Australian television. She starred as Kylie Minogue in the TV Miniseries INXS: Never Tear Us Apart, and an ongoing guest-starring role in Home & Away. She has toured with One Direction and Westlife and headlined the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras twice.
Born and raised in Perth, Ben is best known for his series regular role as Ned Willis on Neighbours. He also had a leading role in the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man. Ben is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He most recently toured on stage as Sam Phillips in Elvis: A Musical Revolution. His other musical theatre credits include Les Misérables and Only Heaven Knows.
Ben has appeared in acclaimed dramas including Warnie, Love Child and Brock. He had roles in Total Control (Season 3), ANZAC Girls and Devil’s Playground alongside Toni Collette. Ben features in the upcoming Liam Neeson film, The Mongoose.
PRETTY WOMAN: The Musical broke box office records at the Nederlander Theatre when making its Broadway debut in 2018. It has wowed audiences in Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany and had an extended West End season.

PRETTY WOMAN: The Musical runs from 5 October – 23 November 2025 at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC, Brisbane.

Why was Vivian wearing a blue spotted dress and not a brown spotted dress which we all would recognise
Samantha Jade didn’t play Vivian on Saturday 22nd November and no one can tell me who did! She was amazing but it wasn’t Samantha! Does anyone here know?
Artemis Alfonzetti is a Vivan Ward cover and if you check her Instagram, it looks like she’s played Vivian recently. There’s always a TV screen in the foyer and it will display who is on that night. It runs for the whole show so you can also check it at intermission – something for next time! Hope this is helpful.
