Following sell-out sessions at the recent Sydney Film Festival, TENOR: MY NAME IS PATI, an inspiring, music-rich documentary is heading to over 90 Australian cinemas from 23 July 2026.
TENOR: MY NAME IS PATI tells the extraordinary story of charismatic Samoan tenor Pene Pati, whose against-the-odds journey from the South Pacific to the world’s greatest opera stages has seen him hailed as the next Pavarotti.
Alongside his brother Amitai, now also making his mark as a leading tenor, Pene is redefining what it means to succeed in this traditionally European art form.
With privileged access, the film weaves together intimate family archive footage, behind-the-scenes moments, cinematic visuals and breathtaking performances to reveal a powerful story of talent, determination, family and cultural pride.
