BMX, basketball, breakdancing, acrobatics and drumming come together in 360 ALLSTARS, a high-energy urban circus that celebrates the artistry of street culture through an impressive display of athleticism and skill.
Directed by Gene Peterson and presented by Onyx Productions, 360 ALLSTARS features an international cast of world champions and world record holders. Together, they are transforming extreme sports and street performance into fast-paced family entertainment.
Since premiering in 2013, 360 ALLSTARS has toured extensively, having delivered more than 3,000 performances to over two million people across the world in places like Broadway and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Three casts of ALLSTARS are now touring the world simultaneously.
Returning to its home city of Brisbane to launch the school holiday season, this talented troupe delivers an action-packed hour of gravity-defying tricks, infectious energy and crowd-pleasing entertainment.
Director and champion drummer Gene Peterson also takes to the stage, providing the show’s live percussion while serving as its charismatic MC. He is joined by American vocalist Mirrah, whose powerful voice and live keyboard looping create a spirited musical backdrop.
Together, the pair introduce the five featured performers and keep the audience engaged between acts. Their original live score, infused with rap and rhythmic energy, elevates the production beyond a succession of impressive tricks.

First to take centre stage is Gonzalo Bellanti, a six-time Australian Flatland BMX champion from Argentina, whose extraordinary bike control sees him execute a dazzling series of spins, balances and gravity-defying manoeuvres.
Australian champion B-Boy Sette and New Zealand world champion B-Boy Leerok face off next in a playful dance battle. Their athleticism and effortless style is a joy to watch. Their set culminates in both performers executing the iconic head spin.
Next, Japanese basketball freestyle sensation Pafo takes centre stage with a cheeky, charismatic routine. Working at first with one ball, his set builds and sees him effortlessly controlling up to five basketballs at once. His infectious grin, engaging stage presence and remarkable ball-handling skills make his act a standout.
Making her debut with the team, Australian world record holder Sophie Bohlsen brings a fresh dynamic with her Cyr wheel. Spinning, balancing and gliding within the giant steel hoop, she combines strength and grace in a routine that is mesmerising and exciting to watch.
Later, Peterson straps a camera to his head, giving the audience a bird’s-eye view of an entertaining drum solo projected onto the large screen at the rear of the stage. It’s a simple but effective touch that adds another layer of fun.
The show’s biggest payoff comes in the second half, when the individual acts come together as a true ensemble. The performers step into one another’s worlds, with Leerok trying his hand at a miniature ‘Cyr wheel,’ while others join the basketball freestyle, and the entire cast takes on dance and group acrobatics.
These crossover moments add variety and reveal the genuine camaraderie that has clearly developed within the touring company. Their enjoyment of performing together is infectious.
Audience participation is encouraged throughout. Cheers, clapping, waving and foot-stomping help to fuel the show’s high-octane atmosphere. A group photo at the end of the show reinforces the sense that this is a shared experience rather than a traditional, sit-quietly theatrical performance. Don’t be afraid to bring your enthusiasm!
The performers also make time for post-show meet-and-greets, happily signing merchandise and chatting with audience members in the foyer.
Beyond simply showcasing extraordinary talent, 360 ALLSTARS celebrates dedication, creativity and the joy of mastering a skill. It’s the kind of production that is likely to inspire young audience members to pick up a basketball, jump on a BMX or give breakdancing a try. Somewhere in the crowd may well be the next generation of performers taking their first spark of inspiration from the stage.
While it may not strive for the theatrical depth of some contemporary circus productions, 360 ALLSTARS delivers exactly what it sets out to do. It is energetic, skilfully performed and a thoroughly enjoyable family experience.
360 ALLSTARS is presented by Onyx Productions and runs to 5 July at the Playhouse, QPAC.
