Wendy Samantha

Wendy is a passionate director, teacher and writer. She commenced her performing arts training at the age of 4 and has competed in countless musical eisteddfods, calisthenics competitions and performed in various concerts and productions which have allowed her to take to the stage at venues all over Victoria, including the Melbourne Arts Centre. She completed her AMEB piano and musical theory examinations at a very young age, then went on to study acting at Monash University, the CAE and with Actors’ Showcase. She has completed a bachelor of primary teaching / arts – majoring in drama, film and photography (Deakin), and a diploma of creative writing (ACJ). As a teacher she has worked for over a decade in many educational facilities including government primary schools, catholic colleges and as head of music in the private sector. She has received accolades for her work from the Theatre Guild of Victoria, Lyrebird Awards and the Herald Sun Teacher of the Year Awards. Her students have received the Helpman Award, several Glady’s Benson Memorial Trophies, the Peter Spyker Encouragement Award, Kingston Senior Encouragement Award, High Distinctions from the Trinity College of London, many Performing Arts Scholarships, and featured in Top Acts for VCE.
